Book Club

Welcome to the book club

๐Ÿ“—๐Ÿ“˜๐Ÿ“™๐Ÿ“•

I mentioned on the Home page that I love to read so I thought I would compile a list of all of the books that I love. I will also be doing small reviews on any books that I am currently reading.

Now I have to say, I am a creature of habit when it comes to books. A lot of the books that I read tend to be the same genre/along the same lines. With that being said, I am always open to recommendations๐Ÿ˜€

Favourites:
Nicholas Sparks -  The Notebook (obvs)
                   The Best of Me
                   A Walk to Remember
                   Safe Haven

I have downloaded "Every Breath" onto my Kindle but I haven't had a chance to read it yet so watch this space!

Jodi Picoult    -  My Sister's Keeper

Cathy Glass     -  A Baby's Cry
                   Will You Love Me?
                   Damaged
                   Another Forgotten Child
                   The Silent Cry

Cathy Glass is a British Author who writes about her experience in Fostering children. All of her stories are true and can be quite harrowing. "Will you love me" is my favourite out of all of them as she explains how one of her foster daughters, Lucy, becomes her adopted daughter.

Fiona Barton     -  The Child

Shari Lapena     -  The Couple Next Door

Michelle Richmond-  The Marriage Pact

Dave Pelzer      -  A Child Called "It"
                    The Lost Boy
                    A Man Called Dave

This trilogy is the most haunting, heartbreaking set you will ever read. In these books Dave Pelzer details the awful abuse that he endured at the hands of his Mother.

Michelle Francis -  The Gilfriend

Current Reads:

Mrs Hinch        - Hinch Yourself Happy

Alice Vinten     - On The Line

Heather Morris   - The Tattooist of  Auschwitz

Mitch Albom      - The 5 People you Meet in  Heaven

All of these books are currently on my nightstand. I am halfway through Mrs Hinch; which is such an easy, happy read. I have read the first 2 chapters of Mitch Albom however was struggling to get into it so put it down for a couple of months but I will try to read it again. I will probably take Alice Vinten and Heather Morris to Calpe with me when I go as I can easily read 2 books in 4 days when I go away.

I mentioned that I had downloaded some books onto my Kindle which I do use quite a bit however I prefer to hold a real book as I LOVE the smell of a book; bit weird I know. I also have a library card which I use quite often.

I will continue to add to this list and update my current reads as and when I have time to finish a book! If you have any suggestions of good books, PLEASE comment below๐Ÿ˜Š.
